Ministry of Evangelism
In 2005, God established Pavilion of Hope’s Evangelistic Ministry. Our mission is to motivate the Body of Christ to come out of the four walls of the church and take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the streets. All of us know someone who is not saved and we are not doing anything about it. This is not acceptable! It is funny how we find the time to talk about everything else but Jesus. We constantly say “Lord, let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (ll Peter 3:9). Our will must submit to God’s will.
The goal of the Evangelistic Ministry is to be like the good Samaritan in Luke 10:30-37. We must have compassion when we see people in need. Compassion means to feel grief for; to sympathize with; to show pity. Without compassion, we will be like the priest and Levite who saw a man that was hurt and passed him by. So to all of you Holy Ghost filled, speaking in tongues, anointed and appointed, Bible toting, scripture quoting saints; IT’S TIME TO GO TO WORK! Therefore He said unto them, “ the harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He send laborers into His harvest (Luke 10:2). In other words, the church is full, but how many of us are willing to do the work?
We as Christians have this “give me, give me” attitude. We are always asking God, “What can you do for me?” When we should be asking God, “What can I do for You?” If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine and go find that which has gone astray (Matthew 18:12-13). Will we leave the church (99) and go after that one lost soul, that one backslider? One may seem like an insignificant number, but it is not. Look at T.D. Jakes, Paula White, Juanita Bynum, etc. Think about all of those who were saved, delivered, and set free because of one person’s salvation. When God told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply, He was not just talking about having babies. We have to multiply the number of souls saved and to be fruitful in our ministry. Each one reach one. It is like a chain reaction. The devil is recruiting everyone he thinks he can take to hell with him; so we must block him and take everyone we can to heaven with us; but we need your help. God charges us to take the gospel to everyone.
Our vision is to take over the cities of Memphis and Dyersburg one street at a time, one community at a time. From there, the ministry will branch out into every city and state until we reach the uttermost parts of the world. It is going to take the Body of Christ uniting with one another to declare war against Satan and the powers of darkness. Therefore, we all must fast and pray to break down the walls of denomination in our churches. Denomination creates division; a house that is divided can not stand. Denomination is of man, not God. Galatians 3:28 says “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. God does not care whether we are Baptist or Pentecostal; all that God is concerned about is the saved and the unsaved. These are the only two kinds of people that really matter.
Ministry of Dance
Our purpose is to usher in the presence of the Lord and destroy yolks through dance expression.
Our mission is to become equipped through the preaching and teaching of the word and humbly apply it by demonstrating a lifestyle of continual fasting, praying, healthy dieting, and exercising. We want to raise others with the same ability to dance while instilling that same level of discipline. We are not limited in the types of dance and movement given to us by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, in the form of ballet, hip hop, or contemporary. We want to demonstrate that dance was “originally” created by God and restore back to its original form and purpose.
The ministry of dance was birthed out of the continual worship experience inside the temple of Pavilion of Hope starting in 2005. We still expectantly await God’s presence in the midst of the worship experience today. The faithful teachings of our Shepherd takes us in to the end times where we will find Jesus, The Bridegroom, coming back for His Bride, The Church. Pastor Arije reminds us through every interval of life to remain rapture ready for Christ’s return to claim His Bride. The current Choreographers and Directors are Amanda and Jonathan Moore, with Jolyta Taylor as Youth Choreographer. The ministry consists of two separate age groups; Younity, which is our youth dance team and Bride of Christ, our adult Prophetic worship ministry. We are excited about God’s purpose and looking forward to ministering to the nations in the dance!
School of Prophets
Welcome to the training program for the potential Ministerial Staff. We welcome you to come and explore the call of God on your life. Many people are called but few are chosen. We will assist you in exploring the call of God through his word so you can make your calling and election sure. This journey of exploration will be navigated by our Pastor and Bishop Wesley Arije.
Purpose of Ministerial Staff
The Pastor of the church will need men and women of mature spiritual stature to assist him in ministering to and caring for the flock of God.
The Ministers in Training Program is to bring men and women that are called of God to a mature spiritual stature because God is interested in prepared people.
During the course of this program we will study to show ourselves approved unto God first, then we know we will be the minister God is calling to rightly divide the word of truth.
Ministers of God will be trained in knowledge, obedience and faithfulness before being sent to minister. Even Jesus had to learn obedience by the things that he suffered. (Hebrews 5:8). Our purpose is that every minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ be equipped to minister grace to the hearer. Then by God’s wisdom they win souls to the kingdom of God.
This program is also designed to provide Ministerial licensure for those that have been called of God to minister. There are certain requirements for licensure that must be completed beforehand. This program helps you meet those requirements.
We believe that if you are called by God to work in His vineyard as a laborer, you must be available at the services to show your qualification as a workman. Qualifications being:
- Obedience (Isaiah 1:10; Hebrews 13:17)
- Faithfulness (Luke 16:10,12)
We believe you cannot be a good leader if you cannot be a good follower. (Luke 16:10, 12).
It is alright to go out in the highways and byways to compel men to come to Jesus, but you must prove by your faithfulness and obedience to your home base that you are qualified to take the gospel outside your home church. The one characteristic God requires is faithfulness, not ability. If you are available through your faithfulness God will provide you with the ability.
We also assist in the Ordination for those individuals that are ready to be ordained into the work of the Lord.
Ushers and Greeters Ministry
Scripture: Psalms 84:10 – “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness”.
The Mission of the Ushers and Greeters is that of doorkeepers. The Ushers and Greeters set the mood of the people as they enter the house of God. We are to acquire the art of making the members and visitors feel comfortable and of lending spiritual dignity to the whole Church service. This ministry is courteous, kind, and ensures orderly conduct in the House of God.
The Ushers and Greeters help the Pastor and promote worship services. We as Ushers and Greeters are to acknowledge God’s ownership, we are to accept our trusteeship of life, possession and administer the same according to the will of God.
Scripture: Romans 12:10-13 – “(10 - Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; (11 – Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; (12 – Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; (13 – Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.”
As Ushers and Greeters our vision is to promote continuous peace and serenity in the sanctuary by the fulfilling of God’s purpose through service to others. Our main goal is to ensure the comfort of all who come through the doors of Pavilion of Hope by greeting everyone in the name of Jesus Christ and that their needs are met. We believe that Ushers and Greeters are the forefront of all ministries.
It is our duty to ensure the best first impression as Ushers and Greeters. We are to maintain the attitudes that are contagious, and we are happy to serve in the house of our Lord. We believe that unity is detrimental to our very foundation as an effective Ushers and Greeters Board. It is important that we be sensitive to the move of the Holy Spirit and watchmen. We are to follow Our Shepherd as God leads and keep watch of all things decently and in order as doorkeepers.
Scripture: Romans 12:1: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your service.”
The purpose of the men and women of the Ushers and Greeters Board ministry are to be diligent in our duties of offering assistance at the door, helping the congregation with seating, facilitating the offerings, as well as other services. Our purpose is to assist the Pastor, members, ad visitors who may need assistance during church services and to honor and glorify God. As ushers and greeters, our purpose is to serve God and Pavilion of Hope with pride and dignity.
